San Francisco is known for its hiked prices, whether it’s rent, restaurants, or drinks. So when we spot a killer happy hour, we have to jump on it! We’ve explored the city far and wide and pulled out a list of bars and restaurants with the best happy hours just for you.
So the next time you’re looking for a budget-friendly drink, pop into any of these places for a mean deal.
Underdogs Tres

This sports-themed Mexican eatery welcomes you with music blaring through the speakers, along with your favorite sports playing on TV. Underdogs Tres is known for its long happy hours and cheap but delicious drinks paired with Mexican small plates. Get ready for an overflow of $2 all-you-can-eat tacos and $4 margaritas.

Bar Crudo

Established in 2005, Bar Crudo is an oasis for oysters and is more on the expensive side. But when happy hour hits, the bar is filled with some awesome deals including $4 beer specials, $6 wine specials, $1 oysters, $1 herb and jalapeno-marinated mussels, $6 pan-seared shishito peppers, and more. It’s fine dining but for one-third of the price.

Blackbird Bar

A three-hour happy hour is a loaded perk, especially amongst the heavily priced drinks in San Francisco. While you can enjoy $2 PBRs and draft beers, you can also indulge in $5 whiskey sours, $5 house cocktails, and $5 wines by the glass. Occasionally, Blackbird also features exhibits by local artists.

Located on Union, The Brixton is the talk of the neighborhood with its four-hour-long happy hours and rock ‘n’ roll artwork gracing the walls. The happy hour menu features $5 beer, $7 mixed drinks, $8 wine, $10 cocktails. They also have great deals on food, like $3 fries, a $7 giant meatball, and more.

La Mar

Weekend happy hours are rare, but when we see one, we love to make the best of it. La Mar is a beautiful Peruvian restaurant with water views, serving $7 hand-crafted cocktails, a glass of red or white wine for $6, and select beers for $4. Their classic dishes during these happy hours start from $5 empanadas!

This Roman-style pizza place on Marina is known for its ‘six until six’ happy hour deal, where you can get drinks and small plates for $6 until 6 pm. The drinks on Delarosa’s happy hour list include a selection of rosés, several refreshing cocktails, and all beers on tap. We love the salty dog - made with vodka, elderflower, and grapefruit.

What’s better than a 21st-century bar with old-timey game consoles? A 21st-century bar with vintage game consoles and not one but two happy hours. Located on Nob Hill, this watering hole offers a two-for-one on beer, wine, and spirits during the evening happy hour, and the same at night but only for spirits.

There's a new discounted drink available every day for eight hours here. On Mondays, it’s $3 Anchor Lager cans, Tuesday it’s $3 PBR tallboys, Wednesday: $2 Lone Star bottles, Thursday: $4 Pilsner Urquell tallboys, and Fridays: a shot of El Jimador and a Corona for $8. Thee Parkside also has a lunch special, which comprises a burger or Cuban sandwich and a beer for $12 from 11 am to 3 pm. At night, the bar hosts bands spanning the genres of indie, punk, metal, and country.

If you’re looking to munch on pizzas by the world’s best pizza maker and pair it with delicious drinks, then Capo’s is the right place for you. We’re not making this up, Tony Gemignani has won the World Pizza Championship 13 times! The happy hour deal on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday features two-for-one drinks. And between 5 pm and 6 pm every day, you can get a slice of deep-dish pizza with either a can of PBR or a shot of house whiskey for $9.
